Your home is in great demand, even though higher interest rates have discouraged many potential buyers. There is still a critical shortage of homes in California and it will take years for supply to catch up with demand. If you are a for-sale-by-owners (FSBO) or you have been thinking of selling and want to move to a single-family residence (SFR), now is a good time. Here is why: You would be selling before property values decline further (up to 10% decline in the next 12 months, per the “experts.”), and by the time you sell and close escrow on your existing home the price of your replacement home will be lower. If you want to sell, do it now before property values decline further.

Three reasons December is a good time to sell your home: 1) Prices are expected to decline further after the holidays. 2) You won’t have much competition selling because many potential sellers focus on the holidays. 3) If you need to buy a replacement home you won’t have much competition, so you can probably get a good deal (with my help because I know how to find or create good deals).
